Developing the Next Generation of Theatre Makers and Performers
Our Emerging Perspectives programme provides a range of opportunities for emerging theatre makers living and working in the East Midlands. We offer a range of opportunities each focussed on bridging the gap between training and working in the industry. Through a series of masterclasses with theatre professionals, a programme for performers, designers, composers, stage managers and writers under the Emerging Perspectives Company, a full length Long Play writing competition, and professional mentoring for emerging companies and artists, we aim to help people early in their careers to become skilled and self-supporting artists.
We're delighted to offer Shout Out Shakespeare workshop sessions for Nottingham City Council Libraries at Sherwood and Basford Libraries as part of a nationwide Celebrating Shakespeare programme commemorating the 400th anniversary of the bard's death. Pupils from Carrington and Seely Primary Schools got to grips with Macbeth before taking on a soliloquy for themselves! Workshop sessions in Basford will take place in September.
