Forthcoming Masterclasses

SATURDAY 1 JULY | 10am - 4pm

INTERACTIVE STORYTELLING WITH ESTHER RICHARDSON

Interactive storytelling

Artistic Director of Pilot Theatre and script editor Esther Richardson joins us for a day long masterclass, to talk about her experience in making interactive and immersive performances. During the day the session will focus on approaches to getting started with generating ideas and writing for this form, examining the important role of the writer, and testing out some collaborative ways of working on stories. Esther will discuss her experiences with interactive storytelling and set practical exercises.

Places on this Masterclass are limited. Places cost £20, which goes towards the cost of the Masterclass. To book your place please download and complete the below application and equal opps forms and send them to info@newperspectives.co.uk. Alternatively you can mail them to New Perspectives, Park lane Business Park, Basford, NG6 0DW.

ABOUT OUR MASTERCLASS SERIES

"It broadened my view of the nature of the audience/performer identity"
 - Coney masterclass participant

Each year we curate a series of inspiring masterclass sessions with major figures from the theatre and arts industry as part of our wider Artist Development programme. These targeted sessions provide opportunities for East Midlands theatre-makers to work in a detailed, practical way, accessing a range of ground - breaking artists and companies. We create an informal, inclusive setting where participants at all career stages can benefit from new skills, insights and make new contacts.

We are able to offer the masterclass series to emerging artists at a subsidised rate thanks to donations from generous individuals and participants. The Masterclass series continues through 2017 - check this space for future details...

Welcome

New Perspectives is an East Midlands based national touring theatre company, with a specialty in creating dynamic performances for rural audiences. We make ambitious and original theatre, focusing on new writing, adaptations and revivals, which we present in community settings and venues nationally and internationally. We provide career defining training and mentoring opportunities for emerging regional talent and manage the rural touring scheme Northants Touring Arts .

EXCITE, CHALLENGE & ENGAGE
